This role is responsible for supporting customers and the Husky sales team by managing Hot Runner and Controller projects from initial opportunity review through shipment. Project Engineers are accountable for making accurate product recommendations based on customer needs, preparing quotations, translating customer requirements, and monitoring the project progress through the factory. This role involves routine interface with customers, sales, design, scheduling and manufacturing and thus requires a highly motivated candidate who is customer-focused with strong project management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a dedicated and reliable support resource for customers and Husky sales team

  • Prepare proposals and quotations for customer review

  • Identify potential solutions to customer needs

  • Translate customer requirements to internal product specifications

  •  Pro-actively communicate with customers and Husky Sales to ensure satisfaction of requirements

  • Monitor project progress through design and manufacturing

  • Build relationships with customers by continually exceeding expectations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering (or equivalent work experience)

  • 2+ years of professional work experience in mechanical or plastics engineering

  • Strong organization, project management, and customer-centric communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with injection molding processing technology or mold assembly/design

  • Hot Runner design experience
