The Maintenance Inventory Coordinator is responsible for sourcing and acquiring parts/tools, organizing and maintaining, inventory and improving the Maintenance Team efficiency by ensuring the Team has the parts/tools they need, where they need them, when they need them. The Maintenance Inventory Coordinator role will maintain accuracy of inventory in both our FOF/Molds Facility. The job requires to be able to provide hands on support when needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/Areas of Accountability:
- Receive incoming parts, inventory and/or deliver to the appropriate site on campus.
- Source parts to ensure the best quality, availability and cost.
- Spend: work with local and corporate team to manage budget, forecast expenses and identify savings opportunities.
- Spend: maintain Maintenance cost metrics, top 10 spend, PO list. Facilitate cost meetings with management
- Prepare and ship any parts needed to be returned, repaired, or inspected. This includes packaging, labelling and calling for transportation.
- Source and order tools for the Maintenance Technicians
- Maintain the inventory in all parts storage locations and ensure the areas are well labelled and inventory is accurate.
- Monitor and participate in ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality and Productivity) are being achieved as related to our Maintenance Team effectiveness.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure needed parts are in house and delivered to the Maintenance Technician where they need it.
- Liaison with all shipping/receiving departments to locate shipments once they arrive at Husky.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Team to inventory and label parts as they arrive. This will include assisting with inventory program maintenance.
- Solve problems / recognize opportunities with other teams as required.
- Solve problems relative to the area of responsibility.
- Identify opportunities to improve the maintenance strategy and provide recommendations to Maintenance Team Leaders.
- Lead troubleshooting by identifying root cause of issues and qualifying corrective actions across processes, relevant to the individual’s scope of responsibility.
- Perform and material handling needs for the Maintenance Team.
- Create and complete Request to Purchase forms for repairs as required
- Create and complete work orders and enter data into CMMS
- Develop and refine existing work processes/procedures for this role.
- Support Kaizen and 5S events to ensure continuous improvement and growth
- Support EH&S initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained.
EDUCATION : High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years’ experience in Material Handling.
- Purchasing experience an asset
- 2-5 years’ experience with inventory control and management.
- Maintenance knowledge an asset.
- Forklift and crane experience.
- ERP or CMMS experience an asset.
QUALIFICATION
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to support in the implementation of new software solutions for the inventory of parts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- A versatile learner, receptive to change and able to pick up new technical knowledge quickly.
- Committed to achieving targets in alignment with Husky’s values.

- Comfortable interacting with various teams.
Qualifications considered an asset:
- Ability to manage one’s time independently for maximum productivity.
- Knowledge of Material Handling, parts inventory, some knowledge of machinery, hoisting and rigging.
- Able to validate parts and confirm shipping documents.
