Job Description

In this role you will be responsible to lead, guide and coach a team of four local field service technicians located in Spain and Portugal. In addition you will take care about all subcontractors executing customer service in the noted area. All team members and subcontractors will have to be managed remotely. While the role is primarily remote (home office), candidates based in the Barcelona area are preferred. However, we are open to considering other locations, prioritizing the candidate's profile over their location. The position will report to the Service Manager Iberia, located in Barcelona. There will be some travel demanded within Iberia region to our customer facilities of approx. 15 to 20%. A detailed training of four to five weeks will be provided in our European headquarters in Dudelange, Luxembourg, which is divided into two to three sessions. This training will take place in the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of workload, travel arrangements for service assignments, follow-up on service reports and expenses.
  • Guide, develop and coach the team.
  • Maintain the service tools and obtain service purchase orders and warranty pre-approvals whenever required.
  • Keep track of all outstanding issues and the follow-up.
  • Organize weekly team calls with sufficient time, to keep the team up to date, but also to actively address problems and work out solutions together.
  • Occasional traveling to our customer facilities.
  • Position is remote and will require working from home office in Spain.

Qualifications

  • Your mechanical or electrical engineering degree is combined with a minimum of 3 years work experience gained in a similar work environment.
  • You have a customer-focused attitude, excellent communication, coordination and scheduling skills and strong Microsoft Office software knowledge (primarily Excel, Word and Project).
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have leadership experience.
  • Your initiative, your team spirit and project management abilities enable you to deal with multiple priorities in a timely and proactive manner.
  • As we function in an international working environment, it is essential that you are fluent in English and Spanish
  • Portuguese and any other language would be considered an advantage
