Job Description

After an initial training period, you will be responsible to resolve after market customer inquiries and issues through a combination of support by e-mail, phone, virtual tools and customers visits. Regular reporting within our service documentation tools will be part of your daily work.  In this role you will be working with different teams in order to drive resolution of complex issues. You will report to the EMEA Hot Runner Technical Support Manager and will be based in Luxembourg. The position offers great challenges and has an impact on the final business result and growth. It is a unique opportunity to combine technology and inter-human contacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Technical Lead
  • Understand customers expectations – define success criteria
  • Lead the issue discovery phase by clearly defining what is the problem and what are the symptoms
  • Disaggregate the issue into its building blocks in order to define several possible solutions
  • Lead brainstorming meetings with multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, application, product development) in order to identify root cause of the issue, and apply containment or solution for the customer
  • Optimize the sequence of actions in order to reduce the time to achieve a solution
  • Develop final action plan as well as backup solutions
  • Ensure customer’s agreement on Husky’s action plan
  • Sporadically visit customers in order to execute action plans
  • Analyze results and reiterate action plan if necessary
  • Develop scope of work for warranty retunes or field service visits
  • Ensure action plan execution within approved budget
  • Provide regular and effective written reports
  • Close the loop with customer to ensure customer satisfaction on solution applied
  • 40%+ travel across Europe expected
  • Communication
  • Develop and maintain good customer relations thru reporting and proactive status updates to customers
  • Communicating effectively in both written and verbal form to customers
  • Lead internal communication and escalation of critical issues
  • Close the loop/ continuous improvements
  • Ensure that relevant knowledge created as a result of troubleshooting is shared in the form of troubleshooting guides
  • Identify systematic failures and raise awareness to management
  • Analyzing and reporting potential product problems and recommend improvements
  • Recommending preventative maintenance for Husky Products
  • Recommending Husky Product quality improvements

 

Qualifications:

Main:

  • Customer focus mindset
  • Degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Materials engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ experience on injection molding industry
  • Strong knowledge on plastics materials and processing
  • Comfortable to be in a production environment and hands on equipment (IMM, Controller, HR Hardware)
  • Strong knowledge on tool making
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems systematically (critical thinking)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capacity to summarize complex topics into its key elements
  • Multitasking
  • Team player
  • Energetic, engaged and positive attitude
  • Fluent in English, Italian and Spanish are considered an asset

     

    Secondary:

    • Experience on mold making and part design
    • Experience with hot runners
    • Experience with temperature controllers and other auxiliaries
    • Familiar with injection molding plant / tool room environments
    • Familiar with a diversity of injection molding machine brands
    • Knowledgeable in Metrology
    • Husky product knowledge
