As a Sales Engineer, you are instrumental in supporting the diverse functions of our Sales team, and in doing so, you rely on your keen sense of organization, project management, and customer-centric communication skills to perform a variety of pre and post sales related activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Being a dedicated and reliable support resource for assigned customers for the America’s market
  • Working with customer CAD files to extract key geometric data
  • Preparing proposals, quotations, and related concepts
  • Identifying potential solutions to customer needs
  • Translating customer requirements to a product specification
  • Following up directly with customers
  • Technically reviewing Hot Runner applications including product capabilities
  • Coordinating simulations, resin tests and design reviews (as needed)
  • Providing application expertise for service issue resolution and new product development
  • Monitoring project progress through design and manufacturing and pro-actively communicating with the customer and Husky Sales to satisfy their requirement and exceed their expectation
  • Routine interface with Customers, Husky Sales, Design, Scheduling and Manufacturing
  • Frequent travel to customer sites in the US and Canada (Midwest Region)
  • After hours customer support
  • Requires a customer-focused mindset and commitment to excellence combined with strong project management, application knowledge, CAD skills, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership.

Qualifications:

Preferred

  • 2+ years of work experience in plastics or similar industry
  • Good organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage several tasks concurrently
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge in the injection molding fields such as processing, mold making, materials and part design
