Job Description

 

In this role you will be responsible for managing daily logistics activities by executing timely and cost-effective shipments supported by precise documentation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with warehouse and other teams to provide economical and timely shipments to our customers
  • Prepares invoices, customs documents, manifests, bills of lading, certificates of origin
  • Arranges for and coordinates direct shipments from suppliers to customers ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Reviews customer invoice for accuracy prior to shipment
  • Direct contact with Customers for approval of shipping documents
  • Audits all freight bills for proper customer and warranty division charges and authorize payment
  • Prepares all necessary shipping and documentation in relation to Hazardous Material Shipments
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all international shipping regulations
  • Recommends new policies and procedures as required to improve efficiencies
  • Assists and develops EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) program with freight carriers
  • Generates and designs new logistics forms
  • May participate in or lead continuous improvement activities Accountability of Spare Parts Sales revenue

 

Qualifications

 

  • Education in technical Sales or Logistics or equivalent experience
  • Some years of working experience in customer service, in a customs or traffic department or within an international transport company
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Solid technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with customers
  • Good written communication skills, technical writing and reporting/presentation skills critical
  • Ability to communicate effectively, across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple pressing issues at a time
  • Knowledge of applicable international shipping regulations
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, BaaN, DHL Easyship, TNT, UPS
  • Fluent in English and French
