As part of a dynamic customer focused team, you will be responsible to organize and lead service and process optimization activities (SIF’s) to support customer requests.  You will be responsible for organizing the Operations and Engineering teams to find root cause and communicate with the RSM.

Key Responsibilities / Areas of Accountability:

The Product Support Specialist is responsible for resolving after sale customer issues and problems through telephone support or site visits.  Specific duties include;

  • Working with a cross functional team (including field service and internal manufacturing/engineering resources) to identify root cause of the issue (SIF) and apply a containment or solution for the customer in the fastest time possible
  • Ensure containments and issues are well documented and searchable by other SIF Specialists and Call Centre
  • Ensure knowledge of the issue is transferred in the form of troubleshooting guides
  • Identify patterns of failures and raise awareness through SIR proposal
  • Providing knowledge and expertise in support to the Service and Sales organization
  • Communicating effectively in both written and verbal form to customers and Husky
  • Analyzing and reporting potential  Product (Mold, Machine, Hot Runner) problems
  • Recommending preventative maintenance for Husky Products
  • Recommending Husky Product quality improvements
  • Analyzing and reporting customers site findings
  • Assisting with preparation of manuals
  • Troubleshooting in house and for customers
  • Supporting Research and Development activities
  • Travel: approximately 10-15%
Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • 5 - 10 years of experience with Injection Molding Industry with emphasis on troubleshooting and diagnostic processes
  • Proficient with computers (MSOffice, BAAN IV/LN, E-mail, Blue Print Reading, Schematic Drawings)
  • Knowledge of Husky Products  and Systems
  • Injection molding principles
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Analytical skills
  • Technical report writing skills
  • College Diploma in Mechanical/Hydraulics/Plastics Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Plastics processing experience is an asset
  • CAD (unigraphics is an asset)
