Key Requirements
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedules

Material Coordinator ensures a safe working environment, while supporting and driving business goals of high quality, high efficiency, short lead-time, and on-time delivery. The role requires an experienced and knowledgeable incumbent who has strong relationships with team members and leadership.
Material Coordinator is also responsible for supervising outbounding process and continuous improvement and will be acting as the lead in pre-stage/outbounding.
This role will work closely with Materials Leadership team. Shift are based on plant needs and are subject to change at leadership discretion.
Key Responsibilities

Guides and encourages team members while ensuring a safe working environment that achieves desired results (end to end)

Provide visibility on Pre Stage using metrics such as quality, on-time delivery and efficiency.

Track material, and inventory needs if applicaple

Monitor Quality at the Source and develop process improvements for first time right

This individual will be involved/lead in Andon/Clinics/Root Cause Analysis for issues that escape from the source (internal only)

Lead team member training and best process practices

Support team member development and engagement

Contribute to and be involved in the review of Efficiency Improvements of end to end processes

Involved in procedures for New Product Launches

Collaborate with team leaders and managers

Monitor project shortages, manage rush orders and specials shipments.

Assist the Cycle count team during the reconciliation process.

Manage and monitor non-conforming inventory warehouses & locations.
Education
-
Post Secondary Education preferably related to Engineering, Technology, or Manufacturing
Experience
-
Minimum 2 years experience in Baan.
-
2 years of team coordinating (leading without authority) or supervising with a proven record of positive results.
Qualifications
-
Working experience in manufacturing or production environment

Strong understanding of day to day operations

Project management experience desirable

Ability to create and follow quality management practices and continuous improvement process

Desirable qualities are decisiveness, reliability, mental toughness, self motivation, and energy

Strong communication skills

Proficient using MS Office applications
