Key Requirements
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedules
- Must be able to commute to Bolton
Responsible for receiving, processing, sorting and delivering incoming material to appropriate work areas and/or responsible for preparing products and equipment or loading/unloading and securing shipment.
Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability:
- Ensure efficient flow of materials and products throughout the department.
- Focus and prioritize work based on the daily project requirements and understand the current status of inventories and scheduled inventory consumption rates. Check for obvious damage and verify the quantity and general specifications of incoming material. Verify parts to packing slip and book parts into the computer system.
- Prepare and pack products and equipment for loading and secure shipment.
- Receive, process and deliver incoming materials to appropriate work or storage areas, using the Baan system.
- Provide assistance to temporary material handlers
- Provide assistance to other departments when necessary
- Some heavy lifting required
Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Certified forklift Operator
- Certified overhead crane operator
- Basic understanding of materials management and supply chain principles
- Computer literate, knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to use internal software
Qualifications:
Education
High school Diploma or equivalent
