Husky is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst that will play a critical role in ensuring that Husky Executives are supported with incisive financial analysis that illuminates what truly drives performance. The successful candidate will prepare monthly reporting and analysis, conduct complex ad-hoc analysis, support the budget and forecasting processes and assist in the preparation of presentations for the Board of Directors and Executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

• One of the role's primary focuses will be to generate monthly reporting on performance relative to budget and prior year and conduct analysis that provides insights on what is truly driving business performance.
• This in-depth understanding of what is in actuals and what is driving business performance needs to be leveraged to develop accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts.

• Work with the Business and the FP&A team to develop business unit and consolidated annual budgets.
• Ad-hoc requests are common and need to be prioritized and addressed in a timely fashion so that the correct Management decisions can be made.
• Develop financial models and reports that are flexible, accurate and clearly present key findings and assumptions.
• Manage schedule for all reporting and filing deadlines.
• Identify and communicate reporting inconsistencies, to ensure accuracy and alignment in reporting and messaging.
• Drive standardization across reporting and functions. Identification and execution of continuous improvement and automation of manual financial processes leveraging best practices.
• Fully leverage existing and future tools – PowerBI, Dynamics AX, Microsoft Excel (Macro and VBA experience an asset) and Microsoft Power Pivot.
• Assemble monthly financial reporting package for various end stakeholders; Private Equity Owners, Audit Committee, Lenders, Internal Management. Standardize reports into PowerBI

Qualifications & Experience:

• Accounting designation or in progress (CPA, CGA, CA, CMA) and/or MBA preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), comfortable with Pivot Tables, graphs, and modeling data with multiple sources
• Experience with Infor Baan, PowerBI, Dynamics AX, Microsoft Power Pivot and Excel Macros / VBA is an asset.

We are looking for a candidate with 1-2 years previous experience who can jump in and immediately start adding value with our MRAà Excel reporting. Ideally they will also have Baan / AX experience and can also help us move some of our reports into PowerBI.
