Job Description
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for Accounting, Financial Reporting activities and related Tax Returns of Schöttli AG.
Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate accounting activities of Schöttli:
- Sales & Margin Validation
- Accrual bookings
- Commission calculation
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliations
- Deposits, costing percentage of completion & related entries*
- Fixed Assets Depreciation*
- Customer Invoicing*
- Bank Entries & reconciliations*
- Supplier Invoices*
Supervision/Coordination role:
- Timely and accurate booking for the payroll entries of Schöttli
- Periodical entry
- Non-Periodical entry (second run, bonus, 13th month,…)
- Payroll accruals (13th month, overtime, vacation, compensation)
- Payroll accounts reconciliation
- Yearly statutory financials issuance or other external reporting as applicable for Schöttli
- Yearly income tax return preparation for Schöttli
- Manage VAT declaration for Schöttli
- Closing process : ensure all companies under your responsibility are closed on time & global closing process followed.
- Maintain and control accounting structure and use of accounts, cost center & dimensions
- Participate in the Monthly & Quarterly One Stream consolidation, reporting and reconciliation processes
- Be the key contact for our Canadian corporate and tax teams.
- Take lead with external audit requirements
- Implement and monitor internal controls from the group for SOX compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 5 – 10 years accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Good knowledge of local Swiss GAAP statutory reporting & tax reporting. US GAAP would be an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive experience with accounting systems in an industrial, multi-company environment.
- Fluent in English & German
- Advanced Excel knowledge, Consolidation tool (One Stream). Knowledge of Microsoft AX, ProAlpha ERP and Abacus-Salary-Module would be an asset.
