The Logistics Analyst plays a crucial role that involves extensive collaboration to efficiently coordinate and expedite various workflows between the Spare Parts Order Desks and the third-party logistics (3PL) facility. In addition, the Logistics Analyst will work closely with the Quality Specialist and the Global Supply Chain team to ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments meet safety and quality standards. This integrated approach is essential for maintaining a seamless flow of products and information within the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements.
- Plan and implement optimization projects (e.g., warehouse-slotting, route planning)
- Support the development and ongoing work related to after-market packaging and delivery standards.
- Oversee inventory procedures by participating in quarterly cycle counts.
- Contribute to ongoing continuous process improvement; research, develop, and implement; ensure warehouse team received, stored, and shipped products safely and efficiently.
- Partner with the Quality Specialist to investigate and address quality issues that are derived from warehouse and carriers
- Review and approve packaging for aftermarket spare parts, conduct random checks, and collaborate with 3PL and the Husky CSM Quality Manager on new packaging development.
- Ability to manage and prioritize outbound shipments and warehouse transfers to customers and multiple regions with a commitment to quality.
- Help foster trusting relationships with business partners through prompt and effective communication with service providers, such as trucking companies, customs brokers, and air freight forwarders.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems.
- Track KPIs and report on performance/quality related to inventory & warehouse; support the monitoring of the warehouse dashboards and daily and weekly team activities to control backlog.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Husky Machine and Mold technology and spare parts.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree or equivalent ideally
- Demonstrated record of improving operational efficiency while meeting or exceeding internal customer needs.
- 5+ years of experience building effective relationships with business.
- 7 years + experience in warehousing and logistics, global experience is an asset.
- Understanding and experience of Aftermarket packaging
- Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting
- Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management)
- Solid to advanced technical skills and experience using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power BI, and Word)
- Analytical mind with business acumen
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability
- BSc/BA in Logistics, Operations, or a related field
- Preferred experience working with 3PL.
