Outcome:
- All local leaders and teams are engaged, accountable & participate to the effectiveness of the Quality System on daily basis
- Ops team leader have access to quality data and expertise to support their initiatives
- All defined processes are followed and controls executed
- Voice of Quality is heard and present within operations (ok to ship, quality expectation, culture change support)
- All non-conformance (NC) are contained prior shipment
- Andons and NCs are managed with speed & effectiveness
- Equipment's are always calibrated
- Voice of Quality is heard and present within operations (ok to ship, quality expectation, culture change support)
- A continuous improvement framework is managed within operations streams & support teams to enable speed, coverage and effectiveness
Mission:
- Be a strong people leader. Stand-up and be a strong coach for your team members.
- Full accountability for product quality coming and leaving your assigned area (e.g. factory, warehouses, etc.).
- Full accountability for day-to-day quality related issues
- Ensure compliance to defined QMS processes, push and hold teams accountable
- Ensure compliance to defined process (highlight what's expected and acceptable)
- Be the voice of the customer for the assigned area (e.g. factory, warehouses, etc.)
Main tasks:
- Set clear objectives and goals for each team members and discuss regularly during 1on1s.
- Lead corrective actions by working with cross functional teams until closed in a timely manner.
- Coach and train team members by providing feedback, 1on1s.
- Set priorities each week and assign tasks to team members
- Participate in necessary meetings. This ensures quality team support is sufficient & effective.
- Maintain and report relevant metrics (e.g. calibration, scrap $, etc.)
- Be the voice of quality for product or process level changes (ex – ok to ship decisions, new launches, process changes)
- Manage calibration of measurement tools for your area
- Ensure shopfloor documentations are updated and maintained
- Setup framework for quality data collection (NC, RPN, etc.), trigger investigation with cross-functional teams & recommend improvement initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement framework and get team members involved

- Rich knowledge about parts of a Husky Machines, different product family and how it functions (3 years exp.)
- Some knowledge about the Machines business processes an asset
- 5-7 years progressive work experience in a manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Knowledge of incoming, in process, final, first article inspection, auditing and sampling plans
- Post-secondary education an asset (College or University Degree in Engineering, Business &/or Manufacturing Systems preferred)
